Question by KIWI RULZ: Today i put on opalescence teeth whitening and my gums are red, is this normal?
Today i went to the dentist to get my teeth whitened and i put the gel on my tray as directed and left it in for an hour as instructed by my dentist and now the part of my gums that are nearest to my teeth are really red. I called my dentist and she said if it continues for three days to go and see her. Does any on else get red gums from using teeth whiteners? Is it normal for some of your gums to get red ?

Those products are harsh on your gums.. Not supposed to get it on them. Your gums are very soft tissue.

I’ve used Opalescence before, but my gums never became red. If you aren’t experiencing pain or swelling I wouldn’t be too worried. Just make sure to keep an eye on them.
